Long before Michael Cadwell founded Cadwell Civil Authority, he was operating equipment, working alongside crews, and learning the realities of heavy construction from the ground up.

Whether sitting atop a John Deere 750J with a crew working below or standing beside heavy equipment in the field, Mike's career has always been rooted in construction operations. Years spent operating equipment, solving field problems, and working in demanding environments taught him an important lesson: good plans only matter if they can actually be built.

Prior to entering the construction industry, Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army. His military service reinforced the values of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and mission-focused execution — principles that continue to guide his professional approach today.

Over the past decade, Mike has built a career in heavy civil construction throughout the Northeast, working with municipal agencies, renewable energy developers, private owners, and contractors on projects ranging from site development and utility installation to large-scale infrastructure improvements.

He has managed crews, developed estimates for public and private work, overseen multimillion-dollar projects, and served as the bridge between owners, engineers, and contractors when projects began to drift off course.

Michael founded Cadwell Civil Authority after seeing the same problem repeated throughout the industry: a disconnect between how projects are designed and how they are actually built in the field.

Cadwell Civil Authority exists to provide owners, developers, municipalities, and contractors with numbers they can defend, plans that survive contact with the field, and experienced oversight before a single yard of earth is moved.
